Hello! Thank you for taking the time to look through this site. My name is Eric Hanson and I currently work for SlantRange, a data analytics startup based in San Diego.
My past experience has placed me in customer success, business development, and event management roles. I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration and departmental honors from the University of San Diego in 2017.
At SlantRange I manage a customer base that spans over 50 countries and includes many of the world’s largest agrochemical and seed corporations. My overarching goal is to promote software and contract renewals by developing client relationships and meeting KPIs. This process includes overseeing 3+ hour training sessions for major clients, and redesigning our customer onboarding process.
Highlights of my past experience include increasing the lead conversion rate at Ibis Capital and managing a budget of $45,000 for the University of San Diego. For more information please check out the projects section below.

In 2017 I worked on a four-month project for the Mexican Consulate of San Diego, under the direction of my mentor and professor Lucia Rodriguez. The goal of this project was to identify and catalog economic agents in San Diego that had a direct impact on the Cali-Baja region, to determine the driving forces behind investment in the region. At the end of this project, we conducted interviews with 20+ economic agents, compiled a database of 75 verified contacts and 175 companies with operations in the San Diego and Cali-Baja regions, and provided solutions to optimize investment in the area.
During my time at Ibis, I was tasked with improving our client and prospect outreach in the San Diego region. During this process I was in daily contact with top-level executives throughout San Diego, communicating through email and during our client outreach events. In 2014 I was named as the first weekend programming coordinator for the University of San Diego and was allocated a budget of $45,000 to promote on-campus student engagement. At the end of my tenure, we developed a plan for the programming board moving forward, building upon the success of the first year.
From 2015 to 2016, I served as a leader for the University of San Diego’s pre-orientation experience. During this retreat I helped transition incoming first-year students into their college experience, serving as a mentor throughout their time at USD. This position involved comprehensive planning, public speaking, and small group exercises.
